Accessibility statement

The public website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the standard is met, but we cannot claim full conformance because no independent audit has been carried out.

This statement was last reviewed on 9 September 2026 and is based on our own testing. It will be revised when an external audit is completed or when a barrier is reported to us.

Automated checks are run against the live site with Lighthouse, which currently reports no accessibility failures on the homepage. Automated tools only ever catch part of the picture, so the checks below were run deliberately.

Reflow: every public page was rendered at widths from 320 to 1920 pixels, 182 page and viewport combinations in total, and none required horizontal scrolling. This is the requirement in success criterion 1.4.10.

Target size: interactive controls in the header, footer and page content were measured and are at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels, meeting criterion 2.5.8. Buttons on the site are 44 pixels tall or more.

Contrast: body and heading text uses a navy that measures 10.5:1 against white. The lighter brand cyan measures 2.75:1, so it is used for decoration and never for text on a white background.

Semantic HTML with a logical heading order, a skip link to the main content, and keyboard operability throughout. Focus indicators are visible and are never removed.

The mobile menu moves focus into itself when it opens, closes on Escape, and returns focus to the button that opened it.

Form labels are associated with their fields, validation errors are announced, and progress information is exposed to assistive technology rather than shown only as colour.

A reduced-motion preference is honoured: animations that reveal content on scroll collapse to a plain appearance rather than moving.

Video lessons in the learning platform support captions and transcripts. Whether a given lesson has them depends on the material supplied with it, and where a published lesson has neither, that is flagged to administrators rather than passing silently.

No independent third-party audit has been carried out, so the conformance claim above rests on our own testing.

No structured audit with screen reader users has been recorded. Automated checks and keyboard testing are not a substitute for that.
